π· Spring Advocacy: CHC Funding Update
Spring is in the air, and Community Health Center (CHC) advocates are hard at work cultivating stronger congressional support.
On April 3, the Trump Administration released its FY27 budget proposal. The HHS proposal includes a request for a $19 million increase to support CHCs in expanding access to nutrition services. However, several other healthcare programs are proposed to receive level funding, reductions, or elimination.
While the President's budget reflects the Administration's priorities, Congress ultimately determines final funding decisions. Building strong bipartisan support through the annual appropriations letter remains critical.
π¬Take Action: Send emails and make phone calls urging senators to sign the FY2027 appropriations letter seeking robust CHC funding. π― We are 38% of the way to our goal of 60 signatures (23 senators signed on). β° Deadline: Thursday, April 16

Benefit Update: PERKY Leave Expansion π
We're excited to share that Lincoln Financial has expanded its PERKY Leave digital tool, previously focused on maternity leave planning. It now supports a broader range of needs, including medical, caregiving, and parental leave.
With this expansion, PERKY Leave now offers:
A step-by-step action plan from preparing for leave through returning to work
An interactive calendar to estimate how much time you can take off
A breakdown of income replacement across federal, state, and employer benefits
Visibility into your specific eligibility for maternity, medical, caregiving, and parental leave programs
Guidance on how PTO, disability benefits, and other resources may coordinate
You can save your plan, revisit it anytime, and follow the recommended next steps when you're ready to submit your leave request.
One of the most active and concerning threats right now is the "ClickFix" attack β designed to trick users into running malicious software on their work device. This is particularly dangerous in healthcare, where a single compromised device can expose sensitive patient data.
A ClickFix attack was cited as the initial access vector in a major ransomware attack on DaVita Inc., a national kidney dialysis firm, in April 2025.
π€ Fake Verification Prompts
ClickFix attacks often masquerade as "Prove you're not a robot" CAPTCHA-style prompts. If a verification popup asks for anything beyond a simple click or image selection, treat it as suspicious.
π§ Phishing & Malicious Ads
These threats arrive via phishing emails, malicious advertisements (malvertisements), or links in compromised websites. Always verify links before clicking, especially in unsolicited communications.
π» Asks You to Run Code
A defining characteristic: the fake prompt instructs you to open a terminal, Command Prompt, PowerShell, or Run (Win+R) and paste in code. A real CAPTCHA will NEVER ask you to run anything on your computer.
π¨Remember: If any website, popup, or prompt ever asks you to open a command prompt or terminal and run code β stop immediately, do not proceed, and report it to the IT Security team right away.

π§ National Stress Awareness Month β April
April is National Stress Awareness Month, a time to recognize the impact stress can have on our health and well-being β and to encourage healthy ways to manage it.
In the important work we do each day, it is essential to care not only for others but also for ourselves. The dedication our teams show is remarkable, and we want to make sure each of you also takes time to recharge.
